Question: How much do these panorama pictures cost?

Answer: This largely depends on how many pictures are to be produced and with which technique. Please ask us for a quote.

Question: What's the average size of a panorama picture?

Answer: The modem/ISDN version is approx. 70 KB per 360 degree picture, the DSL versions are approx. 200 KB. Our full screen panoramas aer approx. 1,5 MB in size and fill out the entire screen.

Question: Do the pictures require a PlugIn?

Answer: m-p panoramas are always supplied in three formats:
1) Quicktime, 2) Flash from Version 8,  3) Java

Quicktime offers the best depiction of panoramas. However, since Flash is very widespread it is loaded automatically if Quicktime is not installed. In the event that neither Quicktime nor Flash are available, the tour is opened in Java. This selection technique guarantees that the tours can be depicted on almost all systems, without requiring additional installations.

Question: What's the diference between spherical and cylindrical panorama pictures?

Answer: Spherical panoramas allow you to view up and down in addition. Hence, nothing is hidden from the eye of the beholder. A picture consist sof four stitched fisheye-lens camera shots. A cylindrical panorama consists of approximately 15 stitched standard photographs, a larger data volume, a limited vertical angle and doesn't give the viewer the feeling of 3D.

Question: Can the pictures be rent/hired?

Answer: m-p offer interesting rent concepts. Afer a three-year rent the pictures pass over to the customer's possession.

Question: How are "moving-pictures"- panoramas produced?

Answer: The pictures are produced on site with complex equipment such as specifically developed tripods, converters and special software which enable further processing, taking elaborate plans of the director into consideration.

Question: Why do DSL pictures take such a long time to load (approx. 30 seconds) despite ISDN ?

Answer: Downloads through ISDN are only about 10% faster than a standard 56 K modem. Hence, ISDN is one of the slower Internet accesses, i.e. only modem pictures need to be opened. The DSL pictures are programmed for a DSL connexion which is 12 to 24 times faster than ISDN.

Question: What's a HotSpot?

Answer: HotSpots are used to emphasize important objects (e.g. a product). Clicking a HotSpot normally opens a 3D view of an additional photograph. HotSpots are also used to walk from one room to another.

Question: Are the pictures "live"?

Answer: No, we do not use a webcam. Our pictures are custom-made still photographs.

Question: How realistic are the "moving-pictures"

Answer: Our special technique allows the viewer a view in all directions and at any angle. As a result of the comprehensive picture source, our photos are extremely realistic and do not produce a brochure fraud. This may be one of the reasons for the increasing demand for spherical and virtual tours.

Question: Can the picture's rotating speed and/or starting point be changed?

Answer: m-p can fulfil all these demands. Even the automatic run of a picture can be changed in any direction.

Question: What are open panoramas?

Answer: A segment or the entire panorama picture of these 2D images are shown as pop-ups. These pictures are not an exact reporduction of the reality but are still ver impressive and can be printed off.
