Ankerbrauerei - Nördlingen
The Ankerbrauerei at Nördlingen decided to have a virtual guided tour of the brewery produced in order to show "beer fans" how their beer is brewed. The impressions gained are intended to make people thirsty for a real guided tour.
Different sorts of delicious beer have been brewed at the Ankerbrauerei since 1608. The choice ranges from naturally clouded "Kirchweihbier", special festival beer, from Pils and pale and dark lager to four superior kinds of wheat beer.
By the way, the golden Anchor doesn't symbolize that the ancestors were immigrants from the coast, but originates from the symbol taverns used to bear in order to show travellers that they would find a safe haven to stay the night.
The Ankerbrauerei is an innovative small-scale brewery with an annual beer output of 20,000 hl and a Libella lemonade output of 10,000 hl. 20 people are employed full time and several part-time. 6 apprentices are being trained in various sectors of the company.
Since 1990, the Ankerbrauerei is the last brewery left at Nördlingen
